Suburban Testing Labs’ Leadership Strengthens Local Organizations

At Suburban Testing Labs, we take immense pride in the achievements of our team members, not only within the realm of environmental testing but also in their active roles within the community. Today, we are thrilled to share exciting news about our President, Rich Stump, and our Director of Marketing, Sara Stump, who have taken on key leadership positions in prominent organizations.

Rich Stump’s New Roles: Enhancing Environmental Advocacy

Rich Stump, our esteemed President, has recently assumed significant board seats that underscore his dedication to environmental advocacy and community enrichment. This year, he was nominated by, PA DEP Secretary Richard Negrin, to serve on the Laboratory Accreditation Advisory Committee (PADEP LAAC).  This advisory body assists DEP in the development of environmental policies, regulations, technical guidance, and more.  At his first meeting, Rich was elected as Vice Chairman.

Rich also serves on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Association of Accredited Environmental Laboratories (PAAEL) and has joined the Board of Directors of the Reading Science Center, an organization at the forefront of promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in our region. These roles exemplify his commitment to maintaining the highest standards in environmental testing and accreditation within our state, while promoting public education on important issues.  He is a go-to presenter at technical conferences and is looked to as an important resource in the environmental laboratory community.

Rich Stump’s active participation in the PADEP LAAC, PaAAEL, and the Reading Science Center’s Board of Directors not only showcases his leadership and expertise but also directly benefits Suburban Testing Labs and our clients, it allows us to stay closely connected to the evolving landscape of environmental regulations, accreditation standards, and educational initiatives. Sara Stump’s Chairwoman Role: Leading Local Business Growth

Sara Stump, our dedicated Director of Marketing, has been appointed as the Chairwoman of the Board for the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, where she also serves as member of the GRCA Executive Committee. The Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic organization that plays a pivotal role in fostering business growth and economic development in our region. Sara’s leadership as Chairwoman reflects her commitment to driving economic prosperity and supporting local businesses. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Eastern PA Water Pollution Control Operators Association, and holds the position of Laboratory Committee Chairperson.  This association works to advance knowledge and keep the membership informed on important issues in our industry.

Sara Stump’s multifaceted role as Chairwoman of the Board for the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, her position on the Board of Directors for EPWPCOA, and her role as Laboratory Committee Chairperson align perfectly with Suburban Testing Labs’ goals to contribute positively to our local community.
