What is happening?
Suburban Testing Labs is officially rebranding to SPL on September 1, 2025. This change reflects the integration into SPL’s Environmental Division, which began with the acquisition in November 2024.
Why are you changing the name?
This rebrand is part of a strategic growth plan to align all SPL environmental labs under a unified national brand. It allows us to deliver consistent service, messaging, and resources while continuing to operate locally with the team our clients already know and trust.
Will I still be working with the same team?
Yes. Your project managers, account representatives, field staff, and technical contacts remain the same. Suburban Testing Labs’ local leadership continues in place under the SPL name.
BILLING – Do I change the way I pay my bill?
Not yet. You will receive notification from our accounting department over the next 4 weeks with any changes that need to be made. Until then, continue to remit invoice payments to “Suburban Testing Labs.”
Is this part of a merger or acquisition?
Yes. In November 2024, SPL acquired Suburban Testing Labs as part of our long-term strategy to expand its environmental platform in the Northeast. This partnership was about growth. The rebrand is the final phase of that integration and is designed to increase client value through unified service and enhanced capabilities.

Will anything change about the services I receive?
No. You will continue receiving the same high-quality testing, fast turnaround times, and excellent client service from the same local team you’ve always worked with. Our values and commitments to our clients remain unchanged.
What improvements can I expect?
While the service model and team remain the same, clients will benefit from:
- Access to broader SPL resources
- Expanded testing capabilities
- Enhanced support infrastructure
What changes will I see?
- Our name and branding (logo, website, email addresses, and reports) will transition to the SPL logo.
- Suburbantestinglabs.com will remain active for the time being, but will feature the new name and logo.
- You may receive emails from @spllabs.com addresses starting September 1, but our @suburbantestinglabs.com emails will remain active and forward to our new domains for now. Please add this domain to your safe sender list.

Will this change your pricing structure or turnaround times?
No. Our service agreements, pricing structures, and turnaround commitments remain unchanged. If any changes occur in the future, they will be communicated clearly and transparently.
