Receiving Our Emails Successfully

Did my letter get lost in the email?!

Tips for ensuring you receive our messages.

Helpful LinksThe term “lost in the mail” originated from letters and packages not being delivered to recipients using the traditional postal service.

The world of communication changed dramatically when the first electronic message was sent in 1962: Email was born.  Since then, the days of having to send letters only using the US Postal Service have long gone and now most of our communication is done electronically.  So, how is it possible that some messages still get “lost,” even from computer to computer?

Why does this happen?

Often times, an email does not arrive because it is seen as SPAM or Junk email by the email program.

SPAM filtering in email programs has become increasingly sophisticated, and some of your email may be filtered without you even knowing.  Many programs take a “guess” of what you would consider spam based on complicated algorithms and user behavior observations.  At times, our domain, @suburbantestinglabs.com, may be seen as SPAM, even if it wasn’t in the past.
